The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC) is located in the northeast of the island of Cyprus, in the eastern Mediterranean. It enjoys a strategic position between Europe, Asia and the Middle East, making it a natural point of convergence for international business. Its proximity to Turkey, Lebanon, Israel and Greece makes it an ideal logistics hub for companies wishing to expand into several geographical areas.

There are around 400,000 inhabitants in North Cyprus. The majority are Turkish Cypriots, but there is also a sizeable international community. The official language is Turkish, but English is widely used in business, commerce and administration. Russian and French are also gaining ground with the influx of foreign investors.

North Cyprus mainly uses the Turkish lira (TRY), but the euro and the dollar are also commonly used in transactions. The economy is based on services, tourism, education, trade and real estate. Economic policy is favorable to foreign investment, with free trade zones, low taxes and simplified processes

In Northern Cyprus, there are several free trade zones offering tax, customs and regulatory incentives. These zones enable companies to set up quickly, import or export without barriers, and benefit from preferential VAT regimes. They are a major attraction for international investors

The local workforce is young, educated and multilingual. The country has many internationally recognized universities, especially in law, economics, engineering and medicine. This facilitates local recruitment for specialized positions and strengthens the development of a skilled economic fabric.

The Mediterranean climate of Northern Cyprus is mild all year round, with over 300 days of sunshine. The quality of life is high, combining security, affordable living costs, unspoilt natural landscapes and a rich local culture. As a result, the country attracts many expatriates, retirees and entrepreneurs in search of a balanced lifestyle.
